After looking at GTi's on the internet I decided to go and test drive one to see if they were as good as everyone said they were. after a look around the car the salesman came out and asked if I wanted a test drive... a few minutes later I was cruising down the road, it was just so much nicer to drive than the old 1124cc. the handling was tighter, the seats were nicer but best of all the engine was amazing. I put my foot down and the engine roared and I couldn't stop myself from grinning. I think the salesman knew he had made a sale then and there. After reserving the car I spent two hours searching for insurance and being turned down for being too young I found that elephant.co.uk gave me an excellent price which is actually working out cheaper than my modified 1.1 with tesco bwhaha.

well anyways a quick description of the car... its a Diablo red 106 GTi. its gorgeous and goes like a rocket... not much more I can say until I've had it for a bit but specs will be up soon.

Santa Pod RWYB 10th April

My first run what ya brung day. got there a bit late so only got 4 runs in but it was a good laugh. had the spare seats and the sub stripped out the car to get rid of any unneeded weight. I managed to run two low 16s and then two 15s with my best being 15.6, also to the great annoyance of Dan I managed to beat his Audi four times which really did piss him off. we think his turbo and intercooler were not getting enough cool air. his first run against his mate he got a flying time of 15.5. There is just enough time before the next RWYB day for me to get a few simple mods done to try and get a little bit more from the pug.
