After the success and popularity of the Dickinson special I decided that I need to put a new engine in it and modify it to make it even better. However after stripping the frame down for a good cleaning and to get a good look at it before I could assess what I could do to it I found some major problems.

The frame was warped more than I ever thought and the flux from brazing was lifting all of the paint of the joints so I decided that the best thing to do was scrap it and start afresh. Project GAMBLE GOLD was born. I decided that this bike must be better in every aspect and here are the main points:

  • A more powerful beefier four stroke engine that would sound the part as well as look the part.
  • A better drive system with some kind of variable speed drive.
  • A more aesthetically designed frame.
  • More functional controls.
  • All parts to be custom if possible.
  • Smaller than the last bike.
  • As little chrome as possible
  • A better bike overall.
